Can you guess why it is called Love Valley?
Villages built underground refuges to keep safe from marauding Hittites, Seljuks, and miscellaneous invaders over the centuries.

Very interesting look on your face among the pillars of stone in Love Valley. Will your balloon ride fly over the valley?
ReplyDeleteNo balloon flight due to weather. My first balloon flight will have to wait for another time and place.
DeleteThanks for taking us along with you on this adventure. Again waiting each day for your post I will be like a kid looking into a sweets shop waiting for the doors to open. Be safe on your journey
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing country with wonderful people, Marvin. I feel completely safe and the ladies with me are a hoot!
DeleteHi Bev! Hope you are having a great time! It certainly looks like you are seeing some beautiful sights. We had lunch today with Roger. He plans to join us at Tom’s retirement luncheon on Tuesday in Louisville. Prayers for safe journey! mb
ReplyDeleteTomorrow we explore one of your favorite places, I believe. Ephesus.
DeleteLooks amazing mom! So glad you are getting to see such great things, we miss you and love you!
ReplyDeleteLove you, too! You have got to put Turkey on your bucket list. And especially Cappodocia.
DeleteThank you for all your comments. We have a travel day today heading to Izmir. Tomorrow will be a full day at Ephesus and then we begin our walk on the Lycian Way. We have had rain the last three days which is unheard of this time of year but very much needed. The forecast looks good for our walk however.
ReplyDeleteEllen logged onto your blog but could not leave you a note - here is her message: Please let Bev know I am technologically challenged, but very interested in her adventures and looking forward to her return so we can talk instead of using foreign technology, which I am incapable of conquering! Love, Ellen
ReplyDeleteAngela also logged onto your blog etc. - here is her message: I have written to Beverly but I don't think I posted it properly so, tell her I am following her. The photos are wonderful and what she is experiencing is fantastic. I know she is guided and protected. Big hugs, Angela
